Client Biography
The United Kingdom International Search and Rescue Team (UK-ISAR), operational 24/7 year-round, is dedicated to responding to humanitarian accidents or disasters globally. Formed initially in response to the success of humanitarian efforts in Iraq at the end of the Gulf War, UK-ISAR evolved from the UK Fire Services Search and Rescue Team into a specialized entity under the Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service. This team, capable of deploying within 24 hours to any international disaster, is designed to be self-sufficient for up to 10 days. Team members, who are trained firefighters selected for their suitability for overseas missions, receive additional training beyond standard firefighting duties. They carry equipment to sustain operations in hostile environments worldwide, reflecting the team's readiness and commitment to providing rapid, effective assistance in times of international crisis.

Summary
Social90 undertook a significant project creating a documentary-style video for the UK Search and Rescue (UK-ISAR) team in conjunction with the United Nations. The purpose of the video was to showcase UK-ISAR's capabilities during their 2023 training exercise in Geneva, which was part of their United Nations reclassification for 2024. This video and accompanying photo portfolio were developed to demonstrate the efficiency and effectiveness of UK-ISAR in various search and rescue scenarios, executed at the "Epesses" training facility.
The project had unique challenges that the Social90 team navigated successfully. They operated 24 hours a day, adapting to severe weather conditions, including working through the night in sub-zero temperatures.
